10 weird organized/unorganized things about me

Playing along with Lara at the Lazy Organizer -

1)I have a place for everything, but everything most definitely is not in its place.

2) I clip my keys to my purse strap so I will be less likely to lose them. A purse is much easier to find than keys.

3) I think my attention span is worse than Lara's. You can call me up and arrange to meet me at my house in say, a couple hours from now, and I won't be here. Not because I don't like you and was trying to stand you up, but because I completely and totally forgot.

4) I use this pill box to organize my pills. I only take 3 a day, but when you take them everyday it all seems to run together. I put all three in one compartment and can store 28 days worth at a time -I'm ready to travel! Of course, it helps if you actually remember to bring the thing with you.

5) I organize my kids' snacks so they can't pull a fast one on me.

6) I was a perpetual shoe-dropper. My usual stash was under the toe kick of the kitchen counter, but now I put them in these:

7) I have this OCD thing with my dishwasher. I like it loaded a 'certain' way. Even though I know the dishes will still get clean, I will go back and reload it that way.

8) I should not be allowed near a labeler

or masking tape and markers.
9) I organize my daughter's hair before she goes to bed (tangle prevention 101)
10) I put my plates, bowls, and plastic cups in a lower cupboard by the fridge. This makes it easy for them to put the dishes away, or get them out.
How about you? Do you have any weird organized/disorganized things about you?

Great list! I'm so excited you played along. We weird organizing people have to stick together.

You are so sophisticated with your caribiner. I use a baby toy clip for my keys!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can stand someone up two hours after speaking to them.

Oh heavenly label maker!

If my daughters had that thick hair I wouldn't make them keep it short. Beautiful! Now I want to see some ponytail photos.

I love your profile photo by the way. I feel like I really know you now!

I put cups, plates and bowls in a lower cupboard too. Makes it sooo much easier for the kids to put everything away without my help.

I'm with you on the dishwasher thing. Except the dishes actually don't get clean if they're loaded hubby's way. I've told him so many times, but he never does it right. You would figure I'd have stopped asking him by now since I have to redo it and rewash everything.

L.O. - we can rationalize our weirdness because weird/lazy organizing is better than no organizing.

Montse - I knew we had more in common than music. The little people are not just decorations, they can do stuff too.

Summer - The dishwasher thing is seriously my weirdest hangup. I just can't seem to give it up, well that and Dr. Pepper.

I love your idea of organizing snacks into lunch bags with names! I do the same thing with the dishes in my dishwasher...

I have the same catch-all organizer as you but I never thought of plastering it with masking tape! What a great idea, maybe my 9 year will finally get it, instead of having tongs, wooden spoons, and spatulas falling out by cramming them in where they 'might' fit! Thanks for the tip!

I do the dishwasher thing too! Especially after my husband has loaded it. After 9 years together, you think he'd understand how to load MY dishwasher! I'm thinking he does it on purpose now. :P

I don’t really have to worry about reloading my dishwasher because I'm the only one who loads the dishes for the most part. My hubby thinks I'm too picky so he doesn't attempt the dishes when I'm around, same with making the bed and changing poopy diapers. I get to change them because he says I always take over anyway. Guess it's my own fault for being a little OCD about things.
