I've told you before that I have many friends who are like Tyler. I'm honored to call each one friend.
I do have a lot of questions to ask God when I get back home.

I have a question. Yesterday my four year old got her Hep A vaccine. You know those little papers they give you with info about why you need this shot, etc? Well, on the back it says if you have a severe reaction, the government helps pay for (XXX) I can't remember what, relative to damages incurred. I know I am not telling you anything you don't know. But I just never noticed this little note before, and I immediately thought of Ty, and you, because i was telling my mom about your situation b/c we were talking about the costs of my dad's treatment, etc. And I wondered if it is really any substantive help to you at all? I hope that isn't too personal. I guess I just thought it was a good thing the Health and Human Services does provide, not that it is any true compensation, but it is something? Thoughts?
B-I'm with you. Lots of tricky questions....

I have heard of so many shunt revisions. I'm so glad that we too have minimal surgeries. I am so glad we don't have a shunt, or that we are anticipating lots of surgeries.

Hips, probably and maybe baclifin, but.. other than that- none that I am aware of.

he does have mild kyphosis.

I love coming here.

Our boys look a lot a like, I think-

b- yep, yep, yep.

EW - yep, we went through that process. it was quite the nightmare and drug out for 5 years. It provides for his health care needs (thank goodness). Let's just say I have no sympathy for big business when they want to limit pain and suffering to $250Gs. It doesn't even come close to what some people suffer.

Also, they award those things on a sliding scale. Death=$250G, and everything else pretty much pales in comparison to that. Okay, off my soap box now. (I do think vaccines are a necessary 'evil', I wish science was better at lessening the risks).

Lisa - I love your latest post, I struggle with those same feelings. Balance is a tough thing.

I'm sorry.....I'm a couple of seconds behind....Tyler had it removed. Maybe I ought to go back and read the archives. :/

He had it out because his tumor developed, but otherwise it was wonderful and we really miss it. His tone is so much harder to manage now.
