Attack of the lint

G is such a cutie, but recently she has developed a fear of anything small and fuzzy. I believe this stems from a recent close encounter with a real life, very large spider. Her sisters were very freaked out about it. The spider was relocated, no not outside - but to his mansion in the sky.

I didn't think anything of it until I was bathing her and she started screaming pie-er, pie-er. I had no idea what the racket and fuss were all about. Then I saw it, it was a speck of lint that resembled a friend of the 8-legged variety.

Suddenly, these fuzzy imposters were everywhere. She refuses to touch them and has become a shower girl since bathtime is too traumatic - all those floating sock fuzzies from between her toes sends her into an absolute panic. And then - Houston, we have another problem, because I am laughing so hard I cannot carry out my lint removal duties expeditiously.

Can you imagine what she'll think after reading Horton Hears a Who?

Right, showers it is.

Hey, those little pieces of lint lying around sometimes make me jump, until I realize what they are.

That's why I'm not a good mom. I laugh to much at my poor children. How funny!

All we are is dust in the wind . . .

This is too funny! I was totally cracking up.

My oldest was scared to death of linoleum (because she would inevitably pee on it and then slip in it after her bath).

She wouldn't step foot in the kitchen or bathroom.
