EW- Yes considering that Wh is pronounced F in Maori. It is shortened by locals to Whaka - gah!
I much prefer saying Whangamata - (Fung-a-muh-tah)it just rolls right off the tongue.
Summer - I can't see the lion, help me.

Okay, maybe I'm just weird.
I see the two holes for eyes, above that is the mane (poofy white), the nose pulls down into a pucker (rock slightly visible) like a cats or lions.
I think I'm spatially challenged, I still can't see the lion, just a wide face. I see a mouth in the rocks just under the nose.
