Forecast: Partly boring with 20% chance of scattered excitement
We did it! We had a completely boring day. Healthwise, that is.
No fevers, only a little bit of pain, and no chicken pox! That's right, I took Ellie to the clinic and they came to the conclusion that it wasn't chicken pox or a strep rash, but it may be an allergic reaction to the antibiotic she was on. The jury's still out on that, but we switched her antibiotic just in case. All of Ty's tests came back negative - good, in this instance. His labs were great (his platelets are clear up to 530
Insert big sigh of relief here-
We did make it to IKEA tonight. How's that for our first date in, wow I can't remember how long. We didn't buy anything major, but we saw a really cool bed.
The Hemnes daybed has three large drawers and it has a false front that pulls out and stretches the daybed into a double bed - voila, instant guest room! Only IKEA didn't think of it first, some pioneers did.
And this is an interesting idea for shoe storage. It's wall-mounted and each drawer looks like you could toss in about 4 pairs of kids shoes. I've got to come up with a way to organize my extremely narrow laundry room and still have some space to move around in there. Any ideas?

so glad you had a boring day!! We live for those around here :-)
Congrats on your healthy day! That shoe thing would be so great next to my back door.
Thanks guys.
Kahri - I know you understand how it is. I hope you get some boring days too.
Katrine - they also had a wood shoe holder that had 4 bays instead of three
This is a good place to catch up on what is happening at home while I'm gone. I look forward to seeing how organized your has become with the help of IKEA. Terri
