Simple Sunday

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. ~Leonardo DaVinci

And with that in mind, here are some simple pleasures of Fall:

Pumpkin pie
Kaleidoscope of fire-painted mountain foliage
Cinnamon sticks, cloves, and bits of orange peel simmering on the stove
Toasty warm, wool socks
Lit fireplaces and the smell of wood burning fires
Serenade of a wind song sweeping through the aspens
Leaf piles to jump in
Bread, hot and fresh from the oven
The smell of fresh-cut hay
Mittens
Candlelight
Cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa
Old, downy quilts to wrap up in
Rome apples baked with spice and topped with vanilla ice cream
Overcast days made for curling up with a good book
The first fleeting snow
Gathering with extended family
Traditions

What simple pleasures do you enjoy?

I think you about covered it. I do like gathering around a campfire on crisp evenings roasting hot dogs or making s'mores.

Throw in a guitar and some camp song standards and it's just about perfect. Mmmmm, s'mores!
